latentspacsdsd started from a frustration that many people who wanted to learn machine learning kept running into the same problem: resources were either too shallow to be useful, or assumed a level of background that most people didn't have. There was a gap between "here's a concept" and "here's how you actually build something with it."
The school was set up in Phuket in 2021 by a small group of developers and educators who had spent time working in data and software projects across Southeast Asia. The original goal was simple — create structured programmes that take learners from wherever they're starting to a point where they can build real things and explain what they built.
Over the following years the team developed three distinct tracks, each calibrated to a different level of readiness. The emphasis on portfolio work came from observing what actually helped learners move forward after finishing a programme — not just a record of completion, but concrete work they could discuss and share.
Based in Phuket, the school operates fully online, which means learners across Thailand and the wider region can join without relocating. The mentoring model grew from recognising that some learners benefit enormously from having a specific person to talk through decisions with, rather than searching documentation alone.

Approach
Every programme is built around doing rather than watching. Learners work on guided projects from early in each track, and receive feedback that addresses the specific work submitted — not generic corrections.

Clarity over hype. We describe what our programmes cover, how long they typically take, and what a learner can expect to be able to do at the end. We don't make promises about career outcomes or speed of mastery.

Eight years in data engineering and applied ML. Developed the curriculum for the Hands-On Build Series and oversees feedback quality across all programmes.

Works directly with Capstone learners on project scoping, code review, and portfolio development. Background in NLP and production ML systems.
How We Maintain Programme Quality
These aren't policies written for the sake of having policies — they reflect things the team actually cares about and checks regularly.
Curriculum Review Cycle
Programme content is reviewed every six months against current Python and ML library versions. Outdated exercises are updated or replaced.
Specific, Written Feedback
Feedback on submitted work addresses the actual submission — not a generic template. We check feedback quality across submissions regularly.
Learner Data Privacy
Learner work and personal data are handled in line with Thailand's PDPA. Submissions are not shared or used for any purpose outside the programme.
Honest Programme Descriptions
Before enrolment, each programme page clearly states what's covered, the typical time commitment, and what a learner should be able to do at the end.
Mentor Accountability
Mentors in the Capstone track are practising developers, not students. Session notes and code reviews are logged to maintain consistency.
Completion Tracking
We track completion rates and points where learners tend to stall. That data feeds directly into curriculum adjustments each cycle.
AI Development Education Built Around Practice
latentspacsdsd operates as a specialist online school for AI development and machine learning in Thailand. The school's programmes are designed around the understanding that building technical skills takes time and deliberate practice — not passive consumption of video content or reading theory without applying it.
The Coding & AI Starter programme addresses a specific gap: many people who want to work with machine learning tools don't know where to begin with programming. By working through Python fundamentals alongside introductory ML concepts in a single, coherent track, learners develop both layers together rather than tackling them separately.
The Hands-On ML Build Series moves into applied territory — data preparation, model selection, evaluation, and iteration — through a project-led structure. Each module produces a concrete piece of work, and the portfolio accumulated across the series gives learners something tangible to discuss and build on.
The Mentored Capstone Programme is for people who want more individual attention. Working with the same mentor throughout, learners scope, build, and refine a single AI project from start to finish. The mentoring relationship means the feedback is specific to each person's project choices and code, rather than general guidance.
All three programmes are delivered entirely online. Learners can work through material at times that suit their existing commitments, whether that's mornings, evenings, or weekends. The school is based in Phuket and primarily serves learners across Thailand and Southeast Asia, though the online delivery means geography is rarely a barrier to joining.
